A new band out of Chicago, Cú Roí plays traditional Irish tunes and pieces as well as modern arrangements of traditional tunes.  Many of the members of Cu Roi have been playing together for over a decade, and 2006 formed the band Cú Roí.  Having previously recorded an album entitled “pléráca” under the Academy of Irish Music, the members of Cu Roi are hard at work on a second album to be released in late 2008.

Summer into Fall of 2008 will find Cu Roi playing at 5 Irish festivals in the US, including the world’s largest Irish festival Milwaukee Irish Fest.  More detail about upcoming shows can be found under the “About The Band” link.
